The Hon. Minister of Coconut, Kithul, Palmyrah and Rubber Cultivation Promotion and Coconut, Kithul, Palmyrah and Rubber Cultivation Promotion and Related Industrial Product Manufacturing and Export Diversification visited this division on 2nd October 2020 afternoon and participated in the inauguration ceremony of king-coconut cum coconut cultivation to be implemented by the propreitors of Veeramakali Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. and Built-Up (Pvt.) Ltd. as to encourage such effort.
Appointment letters were ceremonially presented to the graduates selected under the Programme for Providing Employment to the Un-employed Graduates at the new conference hall of this divisional secretariat on 02.09.2020.

The event of delivering cheques to the village-level self-help groups of differently abled for self-employment promotion programme, was conducted by the Deaf Link centre at the conference hall of this divisional secretariat on 01.07.2020.
The second phase of payments of Rs.5000 allowance for those affected by the pandemic disaster of the nation, is going on.
